Vegetarian, vegan, diabetic, low cholesterol, or otherwise diet sensitive -- we can accommodate you. Please let us know your needs when you make your reservation.
We are devoted "scratch" cooks, which means we do not buy or make
overly processed food.
Fruit is bought as fresh as we can find it.
Our eggs pass the "alert yellow" test. Yolks that have a gold,
alert yellow.
We serve quality food that is nutritious, attractive, tasty -- not loaded down with sugar, fat or preservatives.
If you want a country breakfast like a Texas pioneer needed, or the Civil War soldiers who actually walked through this house, we know how to do that too . . . meat, gravy, eggs, grits, biscuits -- for that matter we can prepare a breakfast that Sam Houston and Santa Anna would have had their first fight over the morning of the Texas Revolution. You'll need a late lunch that day! But give us plenty of notice so we have everything on hand.
